Strolling through the night at Jing'an Temple
Strolling through the night at Jing'an Temple
In the bustling and noisy city, Jing'an Temple is like a tranquil paradise. As night falls, street lights gradually brighten, enveloping the entire city in warm light, and Jing'an Temple is even more shrouded in a veil of mystery爱上海. Walking through the night, I am filled with curiosity about this ancient temple, as if it is silently telling stories from a thousand years ago.
Jing'an Temple was built in 247 AD and is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Shanghai. Approaching the temple gate, the smoke of incense rises, filling the air with a faint sandalwood scent. In the tranquility of the night, it adds a sense of holiness and solemnity. Pushing open the temple gate, what comes into view is the magnificent temple architecture, ancient stone tablets, and the statues that have withstood the test of time and still stand tall. The faint flickering candlelight in the night makes one feel a sense of belonging to the soul.
The hustle and bustle outside contrasts sharply with the tranquility inside the temple. Walking along the quiet path, all that can be heard are the soft sounds of the wind and the distant chanting of monks. The clear sound of the sutras seems to have a penetrating power, capable of washing away the dust in my heart, allowing me to temporarily forget the trivial matters of life and immerse myself in the tranquility of the moment. I stand in front of the Great Hall of Mahavira, looking up at the golden statue, and a feeling of reverence naturally arises in my heart.
At night, the moonlight filters through the shadows of the trees and falls on the ground, adding a touch of mystery to the ancient space. Standing in the temple, I feel the passage of time. Whether it is the temple architecture or the monks who have坚守 here for their faith, they are witnesses to the passage of time. Their existence seems to show me the outline of history, all the former glory and ordinary things, all contained in this land.
In the courtyard of Jing'an Temple, there is a tranquil pond of water, its surface as still as a mirror, reflecting the light of the moon. Occasionally, a few birds skim over the water, causing ripples and breaking the silence上海品茶网. So, I sit by the pond and quietly appreciate this natural landscape. I can't help but ponder, is this tranquility and beauty the true meaning of life?
As time goes by, the lights gradually dim, and I still do not want to leave. Every corner of Jing'an Temple is worth savoring, every sound of the sutras brings peace to the mind. Here, it is not just a temple, but also a spiritual refuge and a symbol of culture. In the rapidly developing modern society, it is indeed a rare luxury to find such a space.
Leaving the gate of Jing'an Temple, looking back, the temple appears even more solemn in the night. With a tranquil heart, I walk towards this bustling and turbulent city. And Jing'an Temple will always be that indelible tranquil place in my heart.
In this busy life, perhaps we all need such an opportunity to find back the original self. In the night of Jing'an Temple, I have experienced what true tranquility is and what the soul's home is. I hope everyone can find their own peace and eternal wisdom in this temple.
